Over the past twenty five years I have worked in senior and executive management in a wide range of industries including petroleum engineering, banking, financial and risk management systems, aerospace, manufacturing and supply chain, government and military contracts as well as management consulting. My work has taken me to all continents, including Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas where I have lived and worked. My experience and expertise has always been dedicated to improving efficiency, profitability and shareholder value.

During the past several years it has stuck me how we have neglected the overall risk exposures that our profitability and shareholder value, ‘business as usual’ strategy has created. Even as I calculate, for example, the total proven oil and gas reserves that I have helped my clients evaluate around the globe, the quantity is so vast that if we burn it at the rate we do it will completely destroy the Earth’s climate. The supply chain management systems I have help my clients integrate continue to abuse not only the world’s resources, but also the beneficial running of the world economy as well as the welfare of the people living on the planet.

My business partners and I have recently launched a boutique consulting practice, Guard Global Limited, dedicated to combine all our years of experience and education to help our clients mitigate these risk exposures and help them move toward a trajectory of sustainable development. We are part of the SDSN (Sustainable Network Development Solutions) and are a supporting partner of the UNGC (United Nation Global Compact) and members of XBRL International and GRI.
